Hello!

Hello!

After years of Facebook, which mostly equals a black hole of stress, frustration, time wasted, and unoriginal blurbs that get re-posted over and over again, Ive though about either minimizing my personal Facebook or just making a page for Slick for all his friends that will also allow me to check in on people who only use Facebook. I'm hoping I can stick with this, and should be able to as ill mostly be posting photos relating to what I'm up to. I'm not sure how all this works and I'm still figuring all of this out but you should be able to "subscribe" and get alerts when I do post. Im not the best writer but hopfully you will find this entertaining!

4th of July Camping weekend

Hall Valley Campground Pike National Forest

My first camping experience in Colorado was amazing! The views along the way were spectacular, and since we left on a Thursday, we got a great cozy hidden spot right next the the stream.
As soon as we got there we both got down to business, me setting up the tent and getting our bed together and Clint started getting our firewood cut and ready! I Will say there isnt anything much sexier than a man chopping wood.
Slickerdoodle also had his very first camping experience, to which he often gave a "what is this, what are we doing and why are we here" look...
Gorgeous tundra flowers at our campsite:

We decided to hike up to Gibson lake... an almost straight up hike, but well worth the exhaustion and floppy legs afterwards

Slick tried to rest and wade/ eat and drink every stream we crossed...

I really appreciated Clint taking Slick for our hike so that I could take photos along the way

Slick also stopped to roll in every pile of snow!

The Lake was gorgeous, and a much welcomed rest and snacking stop.
Super cute happy smiling flower :)

Heading back down i think we had a few sprinkles but it took 1/3 of the time going down as it took us going up

As soon as we got back Mr. Slick immediately curled up and went to sleep. 7 miles kicked his little fuzzy butt
Clinton then made us the most delicious 9 veggie coconut curry. Best cozy/ energy boost ever!

Our spot:

My footwear seemed hilariously appropriate:

Slick got veggies too! He loves veggies :)

Goodbye Hall Valley, you were moist and mosquito-y but you treated us well...

We ended our 4th of july weekend with the "Foreign Policy Maker" which was amazing awesome and gigantic...
